I’m building BetOnTheVet.com into a members-only hub where former service members can learn how to rehab and flip houses, launch mechanic shops, grow produce on small farms, and spin those crops into roadside diners. The core of the site will be an interactive community forum, so I need someone who can set up and style that space from the ground up.

Here’s what I need to see working smoothly:

• Discussion threads organised by the three focus areas (property rehab, mechanic businesses, farm-to-diner ventures) with the flexibility to add new topics later.
• Private messaging that allows one-to-one conversations without exposing personal emails.
• Robust user profiles that let veterans showcase skills, certifications, photos of projects, and links to their businesses.

Members will eventually access training videos and job leads, but right now the mission is to get the forum live, secure, and easy to navigate on desktop and mobile. If you prefer WordPress with BuddyBoss, PeepSo, or similar community plugins, that’s fine; if you’d rather build with Node.js, Laravel, or another stack, pitch me your plan. What matters is clean UX, solid moderation tools, and a membership layer that can scale as our audience grows.

Deliverables I’ll accept:

1. Fully functional forum deployed on my hosting with SSL and basic security hardening.
2. Customisable profile template, messaging, and threaded discussions tested for responsiveness.
3. Short admin guide (video or PDF) showing me how to add categories, approve users, and moderate posts.
