# Looking for a Developer to Build a Tournament Bracket Voting Website

I'm looking for an experienced web developer to build a custom tournament bracket website for an online **"Band vs. Band" voting series.**

The concept is a community-driven tournament where visitors vote directly on matchups, and winners advance through each round based on the collected votes.

## Core Features

* Responsive design that works on desktop and mobile.
* Interactive tournament bracket.
* Support for 8, 16, 32, or 64 participant tournaments.
* Users vote directly on the website.
* Votes are automatically collected, stored, and counted.
* Live vote percentages displayed for each matchup while voting is active.
* Voting automatically closes when a round ends.
* Winners advance automatically based on vote totals.
* The bracket updates as each round is completed.

## Voting System

The website should function as the main voting platform rather than relying on outside polls.

The system should:

* Allow visitors to vote on active matchups.
* Display current vote percentages in real time.
* Prevent or limit duplicate voting where possible.
* Store voting data securely.
* Lock completed matchups once voting ends.

## Admin Dashboard

I need an easy-to-use admin panel that allows me to manage everything without coding.

The dashboard should allow me to:

* Create unlimited new tournaments.
* Enter participant names and initial matchups.
* Choose the tournament size (8, 16, 32, or 64 participants).
* Set the voting duration for each round.
* Open or close voting manually if needed.
* View vote totals and percentages.
* Manually advance winners if necessary.
* Archive completed tournaments.
* Create future tournaments without requiring code changes or developer assistance.

### Optional Tournament Seeding

The system should support optional seeding before a tournament begins.

The admin should have the ability to:

* Seed participants manually before launching a tournament.
* Use seeded matchups (for example, highest-ranked participants facing lower-ranked participants).
* Choose a randomized bracket instead if seeding is not desired.
* Create custom first-round matchups when needed.
* **Support both seeded and non-seeded tournaments.**

## Tournament Flow

Rather than having users complete an entire bracket at once, the tournament should progress round by round.

Example:

* Round 1 opens for voting for a set period (such as 5–7 days).
* Voting closes automatically when the round ends.
* Winners advance based on community votes.
* The next round becomes available.
* This continues until a final champion is crowned.

The goal is to encourage users to return throughout the tournament and participate in each round.

## Hosting / Website

I do not currently have a website and have very little experience with web development or website maintenance.

I am looking for someone who can:

* Build the complete website.
* Help with deployment and getting it online.
* Recommend the best hosting solution for this project.
* Provide guidance on ongoing costs and maintenance.

My goal is to have a system that I can manage myself through an admin dashboard without needing programming knowledge.

I am open to recommendations regarding the best technology, platform, and hosting setup for this project.
