Automated Quotation System Prototype Development
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
We are looking for an experienced developer to build a functional prototype of an automated quotation system for a moving service business. The goal is to evaluate the developer’s technical ability, design quality, and understanding of the workflow before proceeding with the full-scale system development.
The technology stack is flexible. We are open to using whichever programming language or framework is most suitable for the developer, as the main focus is the final user experience, design quality, and functionality.
This initial project represents only a small portion of the complete future system. If the prototype meets expectations, there will be opportunities for continued development and expansion.
Prototype Features Required:
Step 1: Customer Contact Form
Create a customer-facing form where users can enter relevant moving details, including:
Contact information
Pickup and destination addresses
Selected moving office/location
Other required parameters based on the provided layout example
Step 2: Automatic Quote Calculation & Email Delivery
Develop an automated quotation process that:
Calculates driving distance (kilometers) and travel time based on entered addresses
Uses selected moving office/location as part of the calculation
Automatically calculates quotation parameters
Generates and sends a customized quote to the customer’s email address
Step 3: Customer Quote Response Options
When customers open and review the quotation, they should be able to select one of three response options before closing:
Accept
Pending / Considering
Decline
Step 4: Internal Response Tracking
Create an internal view/dashboard where the business can see:
Which customers have opened their quotation
Their selected response status
Basic quotation information and customer details
Design Requirements:
The prototype should demonstrate a professional and modern interface
Focus on usability and overall design quality
All core functions should work properly, even if the system is not production-ready
The design should provide a clear indication of the quality level expected for the complete future system
Available Resources:
The client already has:
Excel-based quotation templates
Calculation models
Layout examples for forms and quotation documents
These materials will be provided as a foundation to reduce misunderstandings and improve development efficiency.
