Redevelop My Simple Rideshare Booking Web App – Automate Pricing, Quotes & Confirmations (Very Low Budget)
About My Business
Small one-person (sometimes two-driver) rideshare/transportation company based in Huntington Beach, California. We provide local trips, airport runs, and point-to-point transportation.
Current App – How It Works Today
I built a basic web form myself in Replit with no prior coding experience.

Customers complete the form with pickup address, dropoff address, date & time, number of passengers, luggage, contact information, and special notes.
Submissions are saved to a simple database and I receive a notification.
Current Pricing & Booking Process (Biggest Pain Point)
After receiving a request, the rest of the process is still fully manual:
I check the lowest available fare on a rideshare aggregator site (OBI).
I manually enter that fare into the request in my app.
The app then automatically deducts 20%, rounds up to the nearest whole dollar, and generates a ready-to-send quote (for email or text).
If the customer accepts the quote, I manually change the status from “Quote” to “Confirmed” in the app.
The app then generates a ready-to-send confirmation message (email or text copy-paste format).
This manual step is time-consuming and keeps me tied to my phone even while driving.
What I Need
A clean, minimal redevelopment that keeps the current simple workflow but automates the pricing and quoting process.
Core Requirements (MVP – Must Have):
Keep or improve the existing customer-facing web form (same fields).
Automatic pricing – Calculate the final price instantly upon form submission using rules I will provide (I’m planning to switch to a simple base rate + per-mile formula for reliability).
Automatic quote generation & delivery – Send a clean, professional quote email (and optionally text) immediately.
Simple owner dashboard – Secure login where I can view all requests, review/edit the auto-calculated price if needed, and change status from Quote to Confirmed with one click.
Automatic confirmation – When status is changed to Confirmed, automatically send the confirmation email/text.
Basic database to track all requests and their status.
Nice-to-Haves (Budget Permitting):
SMS notifications via Twilio (free tier is fine).
Migration to more reliable/affordable hosting (Vercel, Render, Railway, etc.).
Fully mobile-friendly dashboard that works well on my phone.
Technical Notes
Full access to the current Replit project and all files will be shared.
Use a simple, low-maintenance tech stack that I (a non-technical user) can manage long-term.
No payment processing required at this time.
Basic security for customer data (emails and addresses).
