Anonymous Incident Reporting Web App
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
Requirements Specification – Web Application for Anonymous Incident Reporting
1. Project Objective
Development of a secure and GDPR-compliant web application through which affected individuals or third parties can anonymously report and document incidents. The goal is to provide an easy-to-use, low-barrier, and mobile-friendly solution that works in the browser without requiring an app installation.
2. Scope of Functions
Form System
- Step-by-step form (similar to Typeform) that users can navigate through. - Modular structure: new questions or question types should be easily added or modified with minimal effort. - At least three question types: - Multiple choice (single or multiple selection) - Free text field - Scale (e.g., 1–5 or 1–10) - Ability to control question order and define simple conditional logic (e.g., follow-up questions based on certain answers). - Responsive design: optimized for mobile use (smartphones & tablets).
Data Storage & QR Code
- After completing the form, the inputs are securely stored on a server or in a database. - A unique QR code is generated, which allows: - later access to the report, or - verification of the report’s authenticity. - The code is displayed immediately after submission (and optionally provided as an image or PDF).
3. Technical Requirements
- Frontend: Browser-based, lightweight, modern UI. - Backend: Simple server or serverless architecture with secure data storage (e.g., European cloud infrastructure). - Hosting prerequisites: The application should be designed so that it can be operated without complex infrastructure on a European cloud or web hosting platform (e.g., Vercel, Cloudflare, Render, Hetzner Cloud, etc.). - Deliverable as a deployable application (frontend + API) so that it can be hosted directly after project completion — without complex infrastructure or proprietary services. - Focus on maintainability, extensibility, and data security.
4. Data Protection & Security
- The incidents may involve sensitive and specially protected data under GDPR. - Processing exclusively on European servers. - Data storage and transmission must be fully encrypted. - No storage of personal data unless strictly necessary. - GDPR-compliant implementation.
5. Framework Conditions
- Goal: Creation of an initial fully functional version (not just a proof of concept). - Purpose: Obtaining a rough price estimate / quotation for budget assessment (funding context). - Timeline: Ideally to be implemented within 4–6 weeks after commissioning.
