Static Product Showcase Website

I need a modern, lightweight static site that lets my physical products shine. The sole purpose is to showcase what I sell, so every page should feel like a gallery—crisp, responsive, and fast-loading. High-quality images are non-negotiable; they must render beautifully on mobile and desktop without slowing the experience.

I’m happy for you to use a simple HTML/CSS/JavaScript stack or a static-site generator such as Gatsby, Hugo, or Next.js (static export). What matters most is clean, well-commented code and a build that outputs plain files I can drop onto Netlify, GitHub Pages, or any standard hosting.

Deliverables
• Full responsive design of the home page and a reusable product page template focused on hero imagery
• Optimised image handling (lazy-loading, appropriate formats, compression)
• SEO-friendly markup and basic accessibility checks (alt text, semantic structure)
• A short README with step-by-step deployment instructions and any build commands

Acceptance Criteria
• All pages pass Lighthouse performance above 90 without compromising image quality
• Product images display edge-to-edge on screens ≥1440 px and adapt gracefully down to 320 px
• Final hand-off includes the static build folder and source files in a Git repository
