Refine Squarespace Finance Advisory Site

Overview
I run an independent business advisory firm (commercial finance / debt & lending advisory). Our existing website is built on Squarespace and the content and structure are largely in place. I'm not looking for a rebuild or new copy — I handle all written content myself. I need an experienced designer to elevate the site's format, layout, flow, and overall presentation into something that looks like it belongs to a serious, institutional-grade advisory firm.
The look I want: restrained, refined, and professional — the visual language of commercial finance, law firms, CPA/accounting firms, private equity, and B2B advisory. Not a flashy, animated, "conversion-funnel" sales look. Think understated credibility, clean typography, generous whitespace, and a disciplined design system.
Scope of work
Refine the existing site into a polished, professional format and visual system (type scale, spacing, color palette, section rhythm)
Improve layout, flow, and presentation across existing pages (Home, About, Services, Who We Serve, Our Process, Founder, Contact)
Replace generic stock imagery direction with a restrained, premium visual approach (I'll provide a headshot and any real assets)
Standardize service cards, the process section, icons, buttons, and CTAs into one consistent system
Replace casual elements (emoji, clip-art icons) with a clean, professional icon set or typographic treatment
Fix broken/empty links and CTAs; ensure all buttons work
Clean, fully responsive mobile and tablet layouts
Basic on-page SEO hygiene: page titles, meta descriptions, image alt text, favicon, and correcting leftover Squarespace default metadata
Out of scope
Content/copywriting (I write all of it)
Full rebuild or platform migration — this stays on Squarespace
Required experience
Demonstrated experience designing/refining professional-services websites — finance, legal, accounting, private equity, consulting, real estate, or B2B advisory. Please share 2–3 relevant portfolio links. This is the most important qualification; generic e-commerce/creative portfolios won't be a fit.
Strong command of Squarespace 7.1 (Fluid Engine, custom CSS / code injection)
A clear eye for premium, minimal, institutional design — show me you understand the difference between "professional" and "salesy"
Nice to have
Squarespace Marketplace / Circle membership
Typography and brand-system experience
SEO knowledge
Locally or regional by the state of Texas
