Nonprofit Website Build – Classy, Trauma-Informed, Grant-Ready

Job ID: 40142224

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

Project Overview

I am launching a nonprofit organization focused on transitional housing and trauma-informed support services. I am seeking a freelancer to design and build a professional, visually engaging, and welcoming self-hosted WordPress website that feels safe and accessible for people seeking help, while also being polished and credible for grant reviewers, lenders, and institutional partners. I already own my domain and will provide hosting. This is not a DIY project—I am hiring for full design and build.

Goals of the Website

The website should:
• Feel calm, grounded, and welcoming
• Be easy to navigate for individuals seeking support
• Communicate professionalism and legitimacy to funders and banks
• Be scalable as programs and funding grow
• Balance warmth with clarity and structure

• Multi-step, trauma-informed intake form
• Downloadable PDF forms and resources
• Social media integration (links or embedded feeds)
• Mobile-responsive design
• Accessibility-aware layout
• Secure setup (SSL, basic protections)
• Basic SEO and performance optimization

• Programs & Services

Design & Brand Direction

The design should be classy, eye-catching, and trauma-informed, not flashy, corporate, or overwhelming. The aesthetic should use earth-toned colors, generous white space, clean typography, and a calm, grounded visual style that communicates safety, resilience, and trust. I will provide brand assets (logo, color palette, fonts, and brand guide). While brand consistency is important, I am open to thoughtful ideas and professional suggestions that improve usability, clarity, and overall user experience while staying aligned with the mission and audience.

Deliverables & Ownership

• Fully functional self-hosted WordPress website
• Full admin access and ownership
• No hosting or platform lock-in
• Clean, well-organized backend
• Guidance on making basic edits after launch

• Preferred timeline: 3–5 weeks
• Budget: Open to fair, freelancer-level pricing (not agency rates)
