Scope
• Craft wireframes or mock-ups that capture the look and feel before build
• Translate approved designs into semantic HTML5, CSS3 and lean JavaScript, keeping page weight low for speed scores
• Build or customise a WordPress theme so all content can be edited easily through the dashboard
• Implement best-practice responsive breakpoints and performance techniques (image optimisation, minification, lazy-loading, etc.)
• Hand over the finished site with clear documentation and any design source files
Must-haves
• Solid front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) with an eye for minimalist UI
• Proven WordPress experience—theme development or deep customisation rather than just drag-and-drop
• A portfolio that demonstrates modern, uncluttered designs and fast load times
