Minimalist Intellectual Journal Website

Job ID: 40523577

Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR

I’m building a premium personal site that feels like an evolving intellectual journal and digital garden rather than a typical résumé or portfolio. The mood is dark-themed, minimal elegant, and highly responsive, taking cues from founder pages such as manansingla.com and the readability of Paul Graham’s essays.

Core content
The website must foreground ideas and curiosity, so I need distinct spaces for:
• Essays/Notes – long-form and short reflections, searchable and easy to filter
• Books – a living shelf with brief commentary and reading status
• Personal Manifesto – my core beliefs and principles

Alongside these, please leave room for my beliefs, current explorations, and a clean contact page.

Design & interaction
The visual language should remain lightweight but sophisticated: plenty of breathing room, typography-driven layouts, and Subtle animations that guide attention without stealing it. Think fast page transitions, gentle fades, and cursor-driven highlights. High-contrast dark mode is primary; light mode is optional but welcome if easily toggled.

Technical expectations
– Fully responsive build that looks perfect on mobile, tablet, and desktop
– SEO-ready semantic HTML, performant CSS (Tailwind, SCSS, or pure CSS—your call), and lean JavaScript
– A simple CMS or markdown-based workflow so I can add new pieces myself
– Page loads under two seconds on 4G, with Lighthouse scores >90 for performance and accessibility
– Deployed to my chosen domain via Vercel, Netlify, or equivalent, with clear hand-off documentation

I will supply initial copy and any brand assets; you bring the design system, component library, and smooth interactions that make the site feel alive. If this sounds like your craft, tell me how you’d approach architecture, styling choices, and content management, and include one or two similar minimalist projects you’ve shipped.
