Minimalist Digital History Website Build

I’m commissioning a professional, mobile-first website to showcase an ongoing digital history project and a compact online exhibition. The visual direction is firmly minimalistic and clean—plenty of white space, crisp typography, and intuitive navigation that keeps the content and media front-and-centre.

Scope of work
• Build core site sections: project overview, workshops, news/updates, partners, and a dedicated exhibition space featuring 8–12 entries.
• Each exhibition entry must effortlessly mix text, high-resolution images, interactive elements (such as simple timelines, maps, or sliders), and embedded video or audio.
• Ensure consistent performance on desktop, tablet, and mobile, with accessibility best practices baked in.
• I will supply all copy, images, audio, and video assets; your task is to integrate them elegantly and optimise for fast loading.
• CMS choice is flexible—WordPress, Webflow, or another user-friendly platform—so long as updating content later is straightforward.

Timing & budget
Development can begin any time but must be wrapped by October 2026 at the latest. Thoughtful scoping and clear milestone breakdowns will be appreciated.

Ideal background
If you’ve built sites for museums, archives, or educational initiatives, that experience will be a strong match. Familiarity with responsive frameworks, lightweight gallery plugins, and basic SEO will round out the skill-set I’m looking for.

Acceptance criteria
1. Clean, minimal design approved on staging before build-out.
2. Fully responsive pages with all exhibition entries functioning (text, interactive modules, and media).
3. Hand-off includes CMS login, documentation for routine updates, and a brief run-through call.
