Homepage banner design
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
We’re looking for a graphic designer to create a homepage background image for our website. The homepage currently has a plain black background with white text. We want to add a subtle but visually engaging branded image to bring more life and depth to the page (similar in concept to how Netflix or Apple) use cinematic backgrounds that never overpower content.
Creative Direction:
We have a single branded handshape image that represents our identity. Your task is to use this image as a repeating, angled background element. Think large-scale, abstract, immersive, but subtle.
Key Instructions:
• Use the provided handshape image as the core graphic.
• You may use multiple versions of the image at different sizes (scaled up/down).
• Position: Start from the top right or upper right area of the screen, angling downward toward the bottom left (diagonal flow).
• It should fill a large portion of the background but stay behind all content elements (headlines, CTA buttons, etc.).
• Apply a low opacity, gradient overlay, or blur effect so it doesn't compete with text.
• Design for desktop first, then provide guidance for mobile cropping or scaling.
Desired Effect:
• Cinematic and bold, but minimal
• Brand-aligned and culturally grounded
• Should create depth without being visually “busy”
Deliverables
• Final image file in PNG (around 1500x1500 px or suitable for full-width)
• One version with opacity/blur baked in
• One version clean (no opacity or fade) for future flexibility
• Optional: mobile-optimised crop recommendation or version
