Design Brief – News Homepage (Image Mockup) + Logo
Brand & Logo
Logo = compass icon + “Bundeskompass” (or “Bundeskompass.de”).
Variants: horizontal (header), stacked (mobile/square), light/dark versions.
Files: SVG (preferred for WordPress) + PNG (transparent) @1x/@2x; Site icon/Favicon 512×512 (PNG).
Deliverables
1× Desktop full-page mockup (PNG/JPG or Figma link).
1× Mobile full-page mockup (PNG/JPG or Figma link).
Logo pack (SVG + PNGs + favicon).
Layout & Features (use WELT.de as the main reference; keep design legally distinct)
Header: Logo, main nav (Politics, Economy, World, Tech, Culture), Search, Login / My Account, Subscription CTA (thin orange outlined button).
Hero story at top.
News ticker (always visible).
Category cards with image, kicker/category, title, timestamp.
Badges: “NEW”, “LIVE” where relevant.
Football scores strip (slim).
Under every article card: two fact-check chips — “Checked by ChatGPT” and “Checked by GROK.”
Footer: Disclaimer, Legal Notice (Impressum — German publisher disclosure), Privacy Policy (Datenschutz — German for data protection/privacy policy).
Mobile (very important)
Single-column, vertical only — no horizontal scroll/carousels.
Exactly one article per view: large image, headline, short teaser + both fact-check badges.
Ticker slim; Subscription CTA visible.
Style / Colors / Type
Clean newsroom look, clear hierarchy, high information density, good whitespace.
Color mood similar to WELT: blue/gray/white with orange highlights — but use an original palette (do not match WELT’s hex values).
Simple, readable typography. Do not reuse WELT assets, icons, or code.
