Creative Writing Portfolio Website
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’d like a beautifully crafted site that presents my articles in a way that feels imaginative yet uncluttered. The overall look should lean toward light shades—think airy whites, gentle pastels, and plenty of breathing room—while still embracing a creative aesthetic rather than a rigid corporate or ultra-minimal feel.
Content focus
My portfolio revolves exclusively around published and unpublished articles. I’ll supply the text and any supporting images; your job is to shape an engaging reading experience that encourages visitors to browse, filter, and share pieces easily.
Key expectations
• A homepage that instantly signals “writer” with a bold hero section and a concise bio.
• An article library or grid with category tags, search, and pagination so older work remains discoverable.
• Individual article pages optimised for readability (clean typography, subtle pull-quotes, social share buttons).
• Fully responsive layout that performs flawlessly on desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Simple CMS workflow—WordPress, Webflow, or another intuitive platform—so I can add future articles without touching code.
• Basic on-page SEO best practices (semantic headings, meta tags, fast load time).
• Delivery of all design assets and instructions for deployment on my hosting.
Acceptance criteria
1. Design mock-ups approved before development begins.
2. Final site passes Google Lighthouse with minimum 90% performance and accessibility.
3. All pages validated W3C error-free and render consistently across modern browsers.
If you have a portfolio of other author or magazine sites, please share a link so I can see how you balance creativity with clarity. I’m ready to start as soon as we agree on the approach and timeline.
