Roofing Tear-Off Estimator
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m building a browser-based roofing tear-off estimator that plugs directly into the Roofsnap ecosystem. The goal is to move from raw roof measurements to a polished, line-item quote in minutes—complete with square footage totals, material quantities, and cost breakdowns that I can adjust on the fly.
Here’s the desired workflow:
• I open the web app, enter an address (or select an existing Roofsnap project) and pull in the roof geometry.
• The app calculates total squares, applies my waste factor, and converts that figure into shingle bundles, underlayment rolls, cap nails, drip edge lengths, and any other items I define.
• Unit prices stored in a small admin panel generate real-time labor and material costs, producing a clear, editable quote.
• One tap lets me print, save as PDF, or export a CSV for the supplier.
To make this happen I’ll need:
• A responsive web application deployed on my domain.
• Seamless data import from Roofsnap (API, webhook, or at minimum CSV upload).
• Admin tools for managing item catalogs, waste percentages, and pricing.
• A branded estimate view that can be downloaded, emailed, or shared by link.
• Documentation so I can update prices and materials without developer help.
Acceptance will be based on accurate calculations, successful Roofsnap data pulls, and smooth PDF/CSV exports across desktop and mobile. If you have experience with roofing software, mapping APIs, or similar estimating tools, I’d love to see how you can bring this to life.
