Building on the Keepa API
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Hi there,
Our business specializes on books selling online. We are trying to build a system like the one in this youtube video: https://youtu.be/mBaCMBCTel8
This system will sort a book to the right pile based on price and demand data that can be found in Keepa.
A barcode scanner will scan the ISBN on the book, piece by piece. Ones a book passes the barcode scanner, we need to be able to make a decision quickly based on an algorithm.
1. so the first step is that the barcode scanner will scan the barcode. It will feedback this to EITHER a program of your chosing or a program that is provided by the machine manufacturer. This program will again have a simple API.
2. Ones the ISBN is provided we need keepa to return a couple of data points for this specific book.
3. These data points will need to be pulled through a couple of logic filters in order to decide how well this book sells and at which price point.
4. Based on the outcome of the filters, we will communicate back to the machine on which action to take. So for example, if it passes all logical expressions, we will communicate a 1 to the sorting machine, which will mean it needs to sort it to path 1.
Let me know if you have any follow up questions.
Some more detailed information:
2* these are a couple of example datapoints we need;
Sales Rank - Current
----------------------------------
Sales Rank - 30 days avg.
Sales Rank - 60 days avg.
Sales Rank - 90 days avg.
Sales Rank - 180 days avg.
Amazon - Current
Amazon - 90 days avg.
New - Current
New - 90 days avg.
Used, like new ? - Current
Used, like new ? - 90 days avg.
Used, very good ? - Current
Used, very good ? - 90 days avg.
Used, good ? - Current
Used, good ? - 90 days avg.
Used, acceptable ? - Current
Used, acceptable ? - 90 days avg.
3* some examples of logical expressions
new current price AND New - 90 days avg. needs to be higher than Used, like new ? - Current
Used, very good ? - Current AND Used, very good ? - 90 days avg. needs to be higher than $13
