Fix Rapid-Cycling Booster Pump

Job ID: 40171894

Budget: $2 – $8 USD

The booster pump that feeds my water tank is switching on and off every thirty seconds, giving the whole house pulsing pressure. I need someone who understands booster-tank setups to diagnose why the pressure switch or check-valve loop is misbehaving and carry out a reliable repair right away.

You’ll start by tracing the water-line installation (pump, pressure tank, pressure switch, non-return valve) to confirm where the cycling originates, then service or replace the faulty component. Once fixed, the pump should hold steady pressure without short-cycling and the tank should charge and discharge normally.

When you’re done, I’d like a quick demonstration that the cut-in / cut-out points are correct and written notes on any future maintenance you recommend. Tools and parts are on you unless we agree otherwise; I can cover reasonable hardware costs on presentation of receipts.
