Aquaculture Reservoir Filtration System Design

Job ID: 40507472

Budget: $60 – $120 SGD

We are seeking an experienced aquaculture engineer, pond filtration specialist, or water treatment designer to design a complete filtration system for a fish farm reservoir with an approximate volume of 565 m³ (565,000 liters).

The filtration system should include mechanical, biological, and chemical filtration stages. It should effectively remove suspended solids and sediment, manage ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate through biological filtration, and reduce dissolved organic compounds to maintain good water quality for aquaculture use. The system should be practical, reliable, and easy to operate and maintain.

Scope of Work
1. Filtration sizing study, including recommended flow rate, turnover rate, head loss calculations, pipe sizing, pump sizing, and filter media volume.
2. Filtration system layout, including settlement/mechanical filtration, biological filtration, chemical filtration (if recommended), pumps, pipe routing, valves, drains, and flushing points.
3. Water flow design, hydraulic calculations, and filtration chamber sizing.
4. 2D schematic and/or 3D layout using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, or similar software.

Deliverables
* Filtration system design report
* Water flow schematic
* Filtration chamber layout and dimensions
* Pipe routing and plumbing drawings
* Equipment and media recommendations
* Basic bill of materials
* Operation and maintenance recommendations

Preferred Experience
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in aquaculture filtration, koi pond filtration, gravity-flow filtration systems, recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), water treatment systems, hydraulic design, pump sizing, and pipe sizing.

Experience with hydraulic flow analysis is highly desirable. The designer should verify the proposed flow rates, turnover rates, head losses, pipe capacities, and overall filtration performance to ensure the system operates efficiently and reliably.

Please include examples of similar projects, drawings, photos, calculations, or previous design work with your proposal.
