Frappe Books Vue Customization Project

I’m adopting the open-source Frappe Books platform and need an experienced Vue.js developer — a solo professional or small team — to help me turn it into a polished, small-business accounting tool.

What I already have
• The full Frappe Books codebase, running locally and on a staging server.
• Clear wireframes and user stories showing where the current UI and workflows fall short for my target users.

What I need from you
The front end comes first: a complete UI/UX redesign, several new Vue components, and streamlined workflows so tasks like recording an expense or generating a ledger report feel intuitive and fast. On the backend we’ll extend the existing API and models, focusing on three core domains—Invoicing, Ledger, and granular User Roles & Permissions—while keeping everything clean, scalable, and fully documented.

Key success checkpoints
1. Custom theme and component library merged without breaking existing functionality.
2. Invoicing, Ledger, and role-based access updates fully tested (unit + basic E2E).
3. One-click deployment script (Docker or similar) plus a concise setup/readme so another dev can replicate the environment in minutes.

Tech stack highlights
Vue 3, Vuex/Pinia, Frappe Books’ REST endpoints, Git, and whichever build tooling you prefer (Vite/Webpack). I’m open to suggestions that improve performance or developer experience.

Timeline & collaboration
Work happens in a shared repo with short, focused pull requests. I’ll review daily, giving fast feedback. Once the core pieces land we’ll iterate on smaller polish items and final bug fixes before tagging v1.0.
