The job covers the full cycle for a one-week engagement:
• Install and configure a current Windows Server edition you feel is most suitable for our workload and licensing plan.
• Migrate our existing workstation-based applications onto the new server, ensuring every user can log in and work exactly as before.
• Design and deploy a secure VPN so both branch staff and work-from-home users connect seamlessly.
• Centralise data storage, set up automated backups, and document the recovery procedure.
• Analyse the requirements, size the hardware, and prepare a bill of materials so management can sign off on any purchases.

Acceptance criteria will be clear: all users must authenticate to the new server, applications must open without errors, VPN clients must reach mapped shares at expected speeds, and the backup job must complete a test restore.
