Proxmox & Windows VMs: Secure Client Access Setup

Looking for advice / setup help: Proxmox + Windows VMs + secure client access (VPN / RDP / WHMCS)

Hi,

I’m running Windows virtual machines on Proxmox and providing access to clients.
Currently I’m using ZeroTier per VM, but I’m running into reliability issues (e.g. after VM reboots, clients sometimes can’t reconnect).

I’m looking for an experienced sysadmin / DevOps / virtualization expert who can:
• Review my current setup
• Recommend a secure and reliable architecture for client access
(VPN gateway, bastion host, RDP Gateway, Guacamole, WireGuard, etc.)
• Help design or implement a solution where:
• VMs are not publicly exposed
• Clients don’t get locked out after reboots
• Access is easy for non-technical clients
• Optionally advise on WHMCS integration (client portal, VM restart buttons, automation)

This can be consulting/advice only, or hands-on implementation, depending on experience.
