Remote IT Support Technician – Long-term support for architecture clients
Project Description:
We are NexIQ, a Canadian company providing outsourced IT solutions to small architecture and design firms.
We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and forward-thinking IT professional to support our clients remotely on a long-term basis.
Your responsibilities will include:
Setting up and managing remote desktop environments (VPN, RDP)
Configuring and maintaining cloud storage (OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox)
Installing and managing software licenses (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.)
Performing basic cybersecurity patching and maintenance
General IT support for small teams (Windows environments)
Monitoring systems and assisting with troubleshooting
Advising on AI tools or using AI tools to improve IT services is a strong asset
Requirements:
2+ years of IT support experience
Strong knowledge of remote support tools (e.g., Zoho Assist, AnyDesk, TeamViewer)
Good spoken and written English
Reliable internet and ability to work during Alberta, Canada business hours
Forward-thinking mindset, actively learning or using AI tools in IT support
Ability to communicate professionally with clients
