Configure WireGuard on GL.iNet
Budget: €18 – €36 EUR
I need to bring my GL.iNet router online through a WireGuard tunnel that connects to an existing server I already control. The server is up and running; what’s missing is a clean, reliable client-side setup on the router so every device on my local network can route through the VPN transparently.
You’ll walk me through—or remotely apply—the exact steps inside the GL.iNet admin panel (current firmware) to:
• import the peer information I provide,
• verify keys and endpoint details,
• adjust any firewall or DNS settings so traffic actually flows through the tunnel, and
• confirm the router automatically reconnects after a reboot.
When we’re done I want to see my public IP reflecting the VPN endpoint and still have normal LAN access. A brief written recap of the commands or UI clicks you used will serve as final documentation.
