Part-Time IP Telephony Support
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m looking to bring an experienced remote professional on board for ongoing, part-time support work that sits at the crossroads of IP telephony and cybersecurity. My day-to-day operations rely on stable VoIP communications and a secure network perimeter, so I need someone who can jump in quickly, diagnose issues in real time, and keep everything locked down without disrupting service.
You’ll be stepping into a support-focused role rather than full development or design. Expect to handle ticket-based troubleshooting for SIP trunks, soft-phone clients, and PBX configurations while also tightening firewalls, inspecting logs, and advising on best-practice cyber-hygiene. Clear English communication is essential because you’ll often walk end users through fixes over the phone or chat.
Core deliverables
• Same-day resolution of priority VoIP or network incidents
• Weekly security health check with a concise report of actions taken
• Documented configuration changes (router, firewall, PBX, soft-switch) stored in our shared repo
I work best with someone who is comfortable using common tools in our stack—Asterisk or FreePBX, Wireshark, Fail2Ban, and standard IPS/IDS platforms—but if you have equivalent expertise I’m open to alternatives. We’ll start with a brief knowledge-transfer call, set up access credentials, and schedule your first support window for next week.
