Dialogue Recording Project: US American English
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We are looking for individuals with a standard US American accent to participate in a dialogue recording project with the aim of improving voice recognition tools. The project involves approximately 150 minutes of dialogue simulating a customer-agent conversation through a Zoom session whilst recording your voice on your smartphone.
Project Details:
• Duration: 3-3.5 hours total (including setup, breaks, and explanations)
• Audio Length: 150 minutes (divided into 6 conversations of 25 minutes each)
• Participants per session: 2 (ideally you bring a partner, however we can also pair you up)
• Topics: Telecom, Insurance, Banking, Retail, Healthcare, Travel
Requirements:
1. Standard US Accent: You must have an American-English accent. Please do not apply if you are not American!
2. Quiet Environment: Ensure you are in a completely quiet environment without any noise or echo.
3. Equipment:
o Smartphone: For recording (download the required apps: WAV format, Mono channel, 44000hz/48000hz), you must not plug your headphones into your phone.
o Laptop/PC: Join the Zoom meeting from your computer with headphones.
o Headphones/Earphones: Preferably wired; if using Bluetooth, ensure they are fully charged and that they do not connect to your phone.
4. Airplane Mode: Turn on Airplane Mode during the recording to avoid interruptions.
5. Recording Setup: Ensure the phone is placed on a table 8-12 inches away from you, without speaking directly into the microphone.
6. Recording Software: You must record the entire conversation on your phone using the prescribed app whilst participating in the Zoom call via your computer.
