The tone should be warm, friendly and professional. Think approachable and polished rather than corporate or formal. Clear, unhurried delivery is important.
Scripts:
Greeting 1 – Daytime (approx. 15 seconds)
"Thank you for calling XX. We're sorry we've missed you. Please leave your name, number and a brief message and we'll be in touch shortly. We look forward to speaking with you."
Greeting 2 – After-Hours (approx. 20 seconds)
"Thank you for calling XX. You've reached us outside of our business hours, which are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Please leave your name, number and a short message and we'll return your call the next business day. We look forward to connecting with you soon."
