We’re working on an exciting project to collect Yoruba language voice recordings that will be used to develop important language tools and applications. This is your chance to represent Yoruba on the world stage and make sure your language is heard!

Recording setup: A studio setup with a treated room and quality microphone is preferred.
AI training usage only (not for commercial distribution).
Remote delivery with clear guidelines and quick onboarding.
Budget: $50–$150 per hour upon quality approval.
Essential Requirements
Audio Standards
Format: .WAV, 44.1 kHz, 24-bit depth, Mono output (avoid stereo).
Recording equipment frequency range: 20 Hz–20 kHz capture; recordings below this range will be rejected.
Amplitude: –0.25 to +0.25 (takes falling outside this range will be rejected).
Gain: keep peaks between –6 dB and –9 dB.
Sound quality: no echo, no room reverb, no background/static noise, no music, no EQ or compression (deliver raw, unprocessed audio).
Clipping: not allowed (no hard or soft clipping).
Artist Requirements-
Ensure clear pronunciation throughout.
Maintain proper hydration and vocal care to avoid mouth noise and lip smacking.
Keep the correct distance from the microphone to prevent popping/booming.
Record in a quiet, noise-treated environment with minimal background noise.
Maintain a natural, normal pace—neither too fast nor too slow.
How to Apply:
Submit a 3-5-minute audio sample recorded in your studio that meets the above requirements.
