We’re launching a foreign language speech collection project focused on Romanian conversations about finance and daily life.

Project Overview:

Content: 7 phone topics (4 finance topics + 3 general topics)

Duration: ~140 minutes total per speaker pair (≈20 minutes per topics)

Format: Natural, two-person conversations (no scripts, no role-playing)

Recording Tool: FunCrowd mobile app (Android & iOS)

Data Quality:

Balanced gender ratio (1:1)

Regional diversity encouraged

Fluent Romanian, natural interaction

Silence per speaker ≤20s, both silent ≤40s

Compensation: Based on effective conversation time (validated audio only)

Exclusions:

Sensitive topics (politics, religion, violence, adult content)

Scripted or artificial dialogue

Extreme imbalance (e.g., 80/20 speaking split)

Authorization: Participants sign consent directly in-app, ensuring data privacy.
