We are seeking a highly skilled and multifaceted video producer/editor for a one-time project to create a 60-minute, cinematic-style travel documentary from concept to final delivery. This is a full-production role that includes scriptwriting, voiceover creation, video editing, audio engineering, and thumbnail design for our Travel YouTube channel.
Long-Term Opportunity:
We are looking for a reliable and efficient editor for a potential long-term partnership for the right candidate that can proof his skills and quality of work, with an expected workload of 2-3 full video productions per week.
Key Responsibilities & Workflow
Phase 1: Pre-Production & Scripting
1. Location Proposal: Research and provide a list of locations for the documentary for our approval.
2. AI-Assisted Scriptwriting: Once locations are approved, create a compelling 60-minute video script. You may use AI tools like ChatGPT Pro or Claude for generation.
3. Voiceover Generation: Convert the final script into a high-quality voiceover audio file by cloning the voice from an audio sample we will provide.
Phase 2: Video & Audio Production
1. Asset Sourcing: Source all video clips, background music, and sound effects.
◦ Video: Must be exclusively 4K (3840x2160) cinematic clips. All clips must be professionally color-corrected and graded.
◦ Audio: Music and sound effects must be top-tier, matching the cinematic style of leading travel channels ("True Globe," "Eureka Travel," and "True Horizons").
2. Video Editing:
◦ Assemble a visually stunning narrative that aligns perfectly with the script and voiceover.
◦ Incorporate dynamic titles, smooth transitions, and location markers (incuding map location markers).
3. Audio Engineering:
◦ Demonstrate professional audio editing skills to create a rich soundscape.
◦ Expertly choose and mix music to evoke emotion and tell a story.
◦ Ensure seamless transitions between voiceover, music, and sound effects for a professional, immersive audio experience.
Phase 3: Thumbnail Creation
• Design one professional, UHD-quality thumbnail (1080x1920) for the video using Photoshop or Canva.
Crucial Requirement: Stock Assets & Licensing
• The editor must provide all 4K video clips, music, and sound effects.
• All assets must be sourced from 3 sources from this list: Storyblocks, Envato Elements, Artlists, Shutterstock, or Adobe Stock.
• The editor must provide proof of valid commercial licenses for all assets to ensure full compliance for YouTube monetization.
Timeline, Revisions, and Penalties
• Initial Delivery: The first draft of the 60-minute video must be delivered within 2 days.
• Revisions: 2-3 rounds of revisions are permitted.
• Final Delivery: The final, approved 60-minute video and thumbnail must be delivered within a maximum of 5 days from the start of the project.
• Late Penalty: A deduction of $10.00 USD will be applied for each day the final delivery is delayed beyond the 5-day deadline.
