US English Dubbing for Japanese and Korean titles (using AI tool) - US English speaking freelancers only!

Job ID: 39688731

Budget: $25 – $50 USD

Our client is looking to have 3,000+ Japanese and Korean titles (movies, TV shows, documentaries, etc.) with an average length 75 min. each narrated into US English. Roughly 50% will be lip-sync and 50% UN-style.

Narration will be done by an AI tool. The tool should get us 80% of the way there, and we need help getting it to 98-100%.

The tool is pretty straightforward and the there will be time to get familiar with it and the client wants have a short test done first (with 2 min. of content, this should take 15 min). Here is a summary of the work that needs to be done:

1. Adapt US English scripts to match the emotional performance and lip syncing of the relevant video content;

2. Generate synthetic voice output using Deepdub’s proprietary tool (This part is pretty much fully automated);

3. Revise the voice output to match the localized dialogue, voice-over, etc.

About 50% will be lip-sync and about 50% UN-style. All content will be loaded into the system before start, so no time will be wasted.

Criteria:

- Dubbing experience
- Native speaker of US English
- Familiarity with Korean and/or Japanese film and subculture
- Ideally some knowledge of Korean or Japanese as a source language

We’re looking at a rate of $2.50-4.00 per processed minute. Based on our metrics it should be possible to get 64-96 min per day done (based on type of title and whether it's lip-sync or UN-style), so 75-80 min on average.

P.S. If you're worried/skeptical about AI, so am I. But I do know this:

1. These tools (especially this one) need a lot of human help;
2. This project would have never existed without this technology, because it would be too expensive and time intensive to execute.
