Youthful Male Voice Parody
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m working on an animated music video called “Being Black.” On screen a young black puppy initially quietly ponders what it means to feel different -much the way Kermit reflects in “Bein’ Green” (link below). But the song works into a strong feeling of self worth...Much like Kermit does in the video Being Green
What I need is the spoken-song vocal that will bring the pup’s thoughts to life.
Here’s the feel I’m after: a youthful animation type-but unmistakably male voice-delivered in a half-spoken, half-sung style. The phrasing should stay serious and reflective, never jokey, yet it must carry a calm, serene warmth that lets the listener lean in. Think gentle bedtime-story cadence —clear diction, steady pitch, and genuine heart.
You’ll receive:
• the final lyric sheet
• the finished instrumental track (roughly two minutes)
What I’ll need back:
• a dry, studio-quality vocal stem in time with the instrumental (WAV or AIFF)
. Phrasing similar to Kermit the frog in the Being Green Video
• one pass with light ambience that shows how you hear it sitting in the mix
• up to two quick revision rounds for phrasing tweaks
A professional home setup or studio access is essential so the puppy’s voice sounds clean and ready for animation. If this calm, reflective talk-song style is in your wheelhouse, I’d love to hear a short sample of you speaking or softly singing over a simple track.
