Windows GNS3 CCNP Lab Setup
Budget: €6 – €12 EUR
I need a clean, fully-functional GNS3 environment on a Windows machine so I can start practicing CCNP labs right away. The goal is to work exclusively with free tools: the latest GNS3 release, either VirtualBox or VMware Workstation Player (whichever you feel integrates best), and freely-available Cisco IOS images.
Here’s what success looks like to me:
• Latest GNS3 installed and launching without errors on Windows
• VirtualBox or VMware configured as the GNS3 hypervisor, able to boot a test VM
• At least one compatible Cisco IOS image imported, proven by a powered-up router that we can ping in a sample topology
• Brief step-by-step notes so I can replicate the setup later or rebuild it if something breaks
A quick remote session is fine for the heavy lifting, followed by your concise documentation. Once those checks pass, we’re done.
