Fix Aruba-Fortigate ESXi Access

I need a sharp set of eyes on my mixed Aruba / Fortigate / VMware stack. Everything on the network is reachable—servers, firewalls, even the VMs that sit on the host—yet the ESXi management interface itself is dead to the world.

My hunch is that the problem sits in an Aruba switch configuration: likely a per-port VLAN, tagging, or trunk mismatch that is blocking the management VLAN from ever reaching the ESXi NIC. I have already restarted the network devices, but that alone changed nothing.

You’ll join me over a remote session, trace the layer-2 path, inspect the Fortigate VLAN hand-off, double-check ESXi vSwitch and port-group tagging, and apply any corrections while I watch and learn. CLI familiarity with ArubaOS, solid FortiOS policy and interface knowledge, and strong VMware networking know-how are all essential.

For acceptance, I simply need to open a browser or SSH window to the ESXi host without resorting to out-of-band tricks, plus a short note of what you changed so I can document it internally. If you can jump in right away, let’s get this fixed.
