C# Multi-Tab Industrial Controller App

Job ID: 40122662

Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD

I need a Windows desktop application written in C# (.NET 6 or later) that can exchange control codes with our industrial controller. In this phase the traffic is limited to two categories—parameter adjustments and status requests—so the communication layer must cleanly handle those messages both outbound and inbound.

The operator interface should be a multi-tabbed window. We manage well over fifty destination zones, so navigation must stay quick and intuitive. Inside each tab I picture straightforward buttons: one-click sends the chosen parameter value; a returned message updates the on-screen status text immediately. No drop-downs or real-time graph panels are needed. Also each button changes color depending on state as queried from the controller.

Technical expectations
• Clean, modular C# code in a Visual Studio solution with clear comments.
• Transport handled over r TCPClient
• UI built with WinForms, WPF or a lightweight third-party toolkit—whichever you are fastest with—provided it supports tabbing and custom controls.
• Executable installer for Windows 10/11 plus a short README covering build steps and the command protocol.

Acceptance criteria
0. I am able to create tabs, apply an overlay png to allow users to understand zones, and assign buttons to each zone. I also have an interface to code each button with its zone code.
1. I can pick any of the 50+ zones, press Send, an capture status codes from the controller.
2. A Status indicator returns current values, parses them correctly, and time-stamps the display.
3. The application runs 24 continuous hours without leaks or crashes (I’ll verify with dotMemory).

If you have prior SCADA or machine-interface experience, especially with high-zone counts, please mention it along with any libraries you plan to leverage. I’m ready to start as soon as the approach and timeline look solid.
Execution must be framed to 25 days calendar.
