Custom AE Music Video Template
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m putting together a music video and I need an Adobe After Effects project that mirrors the pacing and structure of the reference template shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nTj9c24YgA. The finished file has to be cleanly organised so I can drop in my own photos and swap out the soundtrack without digging through layers.
Core requirements
• The look and feel should lean heavily on glitch-style special effects—think digital distortion, frame tearing, colour channel shifts and similar treatments that stay in sync with the beat.
• Photo placeholders: please build enough comps to cover a full three-minute song; I don’t have an exact count yet, so keep the structure modular so I can duplicate or delete scenes as needed without breaking the flow.
• One master music placeholder that controls all beat-synced animations. When I replace the audio file, timing markers should already be exposed so I can slide keyframes if needed.
• Everything must be editable inside After Effects only—no third-party plugins other than those bundled with Creative Cloud. I’m currently on AE 2023.
• Keep folder hierarchy tidy (Assets / Placeholders / Precomps / Render). Each placeholder comp should be clearly labelled and sized.
Deliverables
– The .aep project with all media replaced by colour-coded placeholders
– A short text file explaining where to drop photos and music, plus which layers drive the glitch effects
Once I open the file and successfully swap in my own assets without any broken expressions or missing links, the job is done.
