CGI Monster for Analog Horror
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m putting together a short Brazilian analog-horror piece and need a CGI creature that shows up only a handful of times—each appearance lasting roughly 2–10 seconds. The setting alternates between a dimly lit house, where we see the creature only in fragments, and empty nighttime streets, where it is shown in full.
Creature brief
• Scale & posture: humanoid, about 2.5 m tall, arms so long the hands brush the ground.
• Face: a smooth, mask-like surface; instead of eyes, readable words glow or flicker, adding to the unsettling analog-tape vibe.
• Mood: the design should feel unmistakably eerie and in-universe with retro VHS artefacts—think scan lines, color bleed, and slight frame jitter.
Scope of work
1. Concept refinement based on the above outline (quick sketch or mood board).
2. 3D modeling, texturing, and rigging that allows limited movement—head tilt, shoulder roll, slow reach.
3. Animation and lighting for two shot types: partial reveal inside the house, full-body reveal on the street.
4. Render passes compatible with Adobe Premiere / After Effects or DaVinci Resolve so I can composite them into my footage. Alpha-channeled ProRes 444 or EXR is ideal.
5. One minor revision pass included—our budget is tight, so we’ll keep feedback focused.
Acceptance criteria
✓ Creature matches scale and proportions above.
✓ Mask face with legible eye-words is clearly visible in close-ups.
✓ Final clips are delivered at 1080p, 24 fps, with transparent background.
✓ Shots feel cohesive with analog-horror aesthetic when dropped onto my graded footage.
We’re funding this out of pocket in Brazilian reais, so efficiency matters. If you already have a toolchain—Blender, Maya, Houdini, Unreal, After Effects—great; just let me know what you plan to use so I can align the rest of post-production. Looking forward to seeing how you bring this unsettling figure to life.
(We don't have much money, it's just teenagers who want to entertain people.
