Animated Chameleon VFX, 21 Shots
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have already filmed 21 indoor-studio shots and now need a skilled VFX artist to drop a single CG chameleon into each plate and bring it to life. The creature must sit naturally on the existing furniture and props, tracking perfectly with the camera move, then change its skin tone and pattern so it blends seamlessly with whatever it is resting on. Think subtle, believable shifts—not a cartoon flash—using authentic, realistic palettes and textures.
All footage is camera-matched and ready for you in 4K ProRes; clean plates are available for the few tripod shots that need them. You are free to work in Houdini, Maya, Blender, Cinema 4D, or any other 3-D package you prefer, but final composites should be delivered as layered EXR sequences (or ProRes if you must stay 2-D) that slot straight back into my Premiere timeline. After Effects, Nuke, or Fusion are all fine for the comp stage; what matters is that the integration is invisible.
Key points I will review:
• Photoreal model, textures, and shaders that hold up in close-ups
• Accurate indoor lighting and shadow interaction with set objects
• Smooth color-shift animation triggered at the exact beats I will mark
• Clean edges and no spill or matte chatter at 100 % zoom
• Final output at original resolution, frame rate, and naming convention
Send a short reel that shows comparable creature work (color-changing or similar surface effects are a plus). If we click, I’ll pass along references, edit decisions, and my LUT so you can jump straight in. Looking forward to seeing your best invisible magic.
