House of Besma is a fast-growing movement based in Amsterdam, empowering girls and women from ages 10 to 99. We create safe, inspiring, and culturally grounded spaces where identity, confidence, leadership, and community are strengthened.

Our work spans multiple cities and includes:
• Empowerment programs
• Talent development
• Mental resilience training
• Community events
• Educational and preventive interventions
• Commercial partnerships
We are known for our warm, modern, feminine, empowering, and sophisticated visual identity — and we are expanding rapidly.
To support this growth, we are looking for a Dutch-speaking freelance graphic designer who understands our mission and can translate it into powerful visual communication.

The Assignment
We are seeking a designer to develop the visual design for our Citizenship (Burgerschap) Program, including:
• A visual identity that aligns with the House of Besma brand
• Layouts for program materials (PDFs, presentations, worksheets, promotional assets)
• Graphic elements that communicate empowerment, leadership, and youth engagement
• Templates that can be reused for future program expansions
This is the first project, and if the collaboration is successful, multiple follow-up assignments will follow for other programs, events, and campaigns.

What We’re Looking For
A designer who is:
• Fluent in Dutch (essential)
• Experienced in designing for youth, education, social impact, or community-focused organizations
• Able to work within an existing brand identity while adding fresh creative direction
• Skilled in creating clean, modern, feminine, and empowering visual styles
• Comfortable designing for both digital and print
• Reliable, communicative, and able to work with clear deadlines
• Sensitive to cultural diversity and able to design for audiences in Amsterdam and beyond

Bonus if you have experience with:
• Social media design
• Presentation design
• Visual storytelling
• Designing for programs or curriculum materials

Deliverables (First Project)
• Visual identity concept for the Burgerschap Program
• Program booklet or PDF (approx. 10–15 pages)
• Social media assets (3–5 templates)
• Presentation template (PowerPoint/Google Slides)
• Graphic elements/icons supporting the program themes

About You
You are someone who:
• Understands how design can empower and uplift communities
• Can translate complex themes (identity, leadership, resilience) into accessible visuals
• Works collaboratively and is open to feedback
• Brings both creativity and structure
• Enjoys designing for youth and women-centered initiatives

Why Work With Us
House of Besma is not just an organization — it’s a movement.
You’ll be contributing to work that:
• Impacts the lives of girls and women
• Strengthens communities
• Builds a new generation of confident, visible, future-ready young women
We value long-term relationships with creatives who understand our mission and want to grow with us.

Please share:
• Your portfolio (preferably including youth, education, or social impact work)
• Your hourly rate or project rate
• A short introduction about why you’d like to work with House of Besma
• Your availability for the coming weeks
We look forward to finding a designer who can help us bring our programs to life visually.
