About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Set Designer who can design, plan, and execute visually engaging sets for photo shoots, video shoots, and AI dataset productions. The role requires strong aesthetic sense, practical knowledge of materials, and the ability to convert concepts into functional, production-ready environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Set Planning & Concept Development
Understand creative briefs and convert them into set concepts, mood boards, and layout options.
Visualize environments based on themes such as lifestyle, product, sports, industrial, festive, corporate, etc.
Prepare sketches, digital mock-ups, and reference boards.
2. Set Building & Execution
Source props, materials, furniture, and décor elements as per the theme.
Supervise set construction, arrangement, and styling during shoots.
Ensure sets are production-friendly—clean layout, accurate details, and consistent continuity.
Manage prop inventory and maintain structure for reuse.
3. Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with creative directors, producers, photographers, and stylists.
Coordinate with vendors, carpenters, fabricators, and prop suppliers.
Align designs with script, shot list, and technical requirements (lighting, camera movement, framing).
4. Budgeting & Timelines
Create cost estimates for set design and materials.
Ensure sets are completed within timelines and budget guidelines.
Track daily set expenses and prepare reports.
5. Quality & Safety
Maintain high levels of craftsmanship and visual quality.
Ensure all sets follow safety standards during construction and shoot time.
Skill Requirements
Strong visual imagination and aesthetic sense
Knowledge of materials, props, and space design
Ability to sketch or make digital layouts (Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp — optional but preferred)
Understanding of lighting and spatial composition
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Bonus Skills (Optional)
Experience with AI datasets, still-life setups, or green-screen environments
Photography or art direction exposure
