Word Opens Outside Of Browser Control

I have an application written in VB6. This application uses Word. When a Word document is opened in the application it opens Word and the document in the browser control. This is working for many of our customer computers. But now a problem is happening where the documents are opened in Word but Word is opening outside of the browser control. We need this resolved as soon as possible.
