Visual Basic Excel Viscosity Timer with DAQ

Job ID: 31905952

Budget: $30 – $250 AUD

Objective
Create the code and Visual screens to record the time that a timer button/switch is open and closed, calculate the elapsed time the switch is closed, and multiplies that time by tube specific factor to report a viscosity result.

Option one uses the computer or tablet only, with Excel and Visual basic, where sample details and test parameters are selected from lists or typed in, and buttons on screen are used to start and stop the timing.

If the result is acceptable the result is logged within the file, and subsequently optionally reported using an export .CSV file for another system. There may be from one to eight timer channels in use at the same time. Where there are less than eight channels the size of the buttons can be expanded.

The second option uses physical buttons, which are connected to a low cost data acquisition module, a STM32F103 module,
STM32F103C8T6 USB Interface 10 Channel 12Bit AD Uart Module

This Arduino-like module as supplied measures at once per 500 mS, and exports voltage readings via the Serial output voltage at input pins in all channels. This module will need to be reprogrammed so that it takes the place of the on screen start/stop button. Status of the high/low switches is transmitted every 100 milliseconds and must make its way to the VB program, as an alternate to the start/stop screen button for each channel.
