Painted Wooden Antiques Cleaning
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I have a small collection of painted wooden antiques that need a careful, professional clean. Years of dust have settled into fine carving lines and around the paint layers; I want every surface refreshed without stripping colour, damaging patina, or raising grain.
The pieces are all wood, finished exclusively with old-fashioned paint rather than varnish or oil, so I expect solvent-free, low-moisture techniques and lint-free cloths or soft natural-bristle brushes. Any specialised solution you bring must be tested on an inconspicuous spot first.
Deliverables
• All items returned free of surface dust, sticky residue or cobwebs, with original paint tones intact
• A brief before-and-after photo record for each piece (phone photos are fine)
• A short note on the products or methods used so I can maintain them properly
I will have everything laid out on a protected table and can assist with moving heavier objects. Timing is flexible within the next two weeks, and the entire job should take no more than a single afternoon.
