VB.NET GPS Distance Travelled Routine

Hello,
I am needing a simple VB.NET routine for calculating the distance (fractions of meters) between Lat/Long Position A and Lat/Long position B.
Basically to parse and compare incoming serial USB position strings one after another.
Should be able to process up to 10Hz reporting.
