Financial Data Validation & Reporting
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I have several high-volume financial datasets that need a careful eye before they can be trusted for decision-making. Your first task will be to tidy up the raw files—spot and resolve inconsistencies, fill the inevitable gaps, and confirm every figure lines up across worksheets. Once the data is clean, I’ll lean on you to turn it into clear, executive-ready reports. Think dynamic Excel dashboards, concise tables, and visual summaries that highlight key performance metrics without drowning the reader in numbers.
While the whole workflow—from organising and validating through to analysis—matters to me, the reporting stage is where I need the most help right now. If you have a knack for transforming rows of figures into insights people can actually use, you’ll be a great fit.
I’m working exclusively with financial data, so experience handling general admin or customer datasets alone won’t cut it. Show me projects where you’ve wrangled balance sheets, ledgers, or similar monetary records, and explain how your analytical thinking improved data quality or revealed actionable trends. Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, PivotTables, formulas, maybe a bit of VBA) are non-negotiable; familiarity with tools like Power BI or Tableau will be a bonus if you prefer them for visualisation.
Deliverables
• A fully validated master dataset, ready for ongoing use
• A set of summary dashboards and report templates that refresh automatically when new data is added
• Brief documentation outlining the checks performed and any assumptions made
When you apply, focus on your relevant experience—concrete examples beat generic claims every time. I’m ready to start as soon as I find the right analyst.
