All of the calculations and standard graphs are already working on our summary page. 2) see summary page attached.
On the improved dashboard, we are open to ideas for an interactive dashboard. The entire spreadsheet is a five-year projection. I think maybe a slider through 1 to 5 year may be interesting but definitely a "drop down pick list" for years 1,2,3,4,5. See the "summary page"
Project:
We have developed a very detailed, multiple sheet Microsoft Excel workbook on the growth of emerging franchise brands based on the number of units sold, over a five-year period.
This workbook has different sheets for operational expenses, annually, projected unit sales and exit valuation etc...
Normally this worksheet works very well and create excitement for investors but, we would like to enhance the “dashboard” visually, double check calculations throughout.
We also wish to add a couple additional variables “pick list toggles” or “editable fields’ onto the summary page that can change the outcomes such as the “royalty commission”. An example would be, we can have a “6%” royalty rate”, or edit that field to be “5%” royalty rate so, $1,000,000 in income generates either $60,000 or $50,000 etc, in corporate royalty income. Then, add another “editable field” to assign a “referral fee” percentage rate, paid to third parties on that $50,000 or $60,000 like, 30% or 40%. None of that is super complicated but I’d like to see an impressive dashboard representation.
The main goal is to create a more dynamic dashboard. After seeing “datarails” videos, many of our investors wish to see a more visually attractive presentation in excel besides raw numbers.
