I’m putting the finishing touches on a new record and now need a striking, photorealistic cover that instantly sets a melancholic mood. Once we start, I’ll share the song sequence, working title and a few reference shots so you can capture the emotional undercurrent I’m after—think subtle blues and greys, soft light, quiet tension rather than overt sadness.
The style must feel real and tangible (not painterly or abstract) yet still artistic enough to stand out on streaming platforms and physical sleeves alike. Strong Photoshop skills are a must; if you composite stock elements, lighting and perspective need to look seamless and believable.
Timing is comfortable but focused: I’d like to wrap the project within a month, which should leave room for creative exploration and a round or two of refinements.
Deliverables
• Front-cover artwork at 3000×3000 px, 300 dpi, RGB
• Layered PSD (organized and labeled) and a flattened TIFF/JPEG for upload
• Basic mock-up on a vinyl sleeve for presentation
• Up to two revision passes to fine-tune colour grading and typography placement
