Hyper-V Server Virtualization Setup

I have a fresh build of Windows Server 2025 and I want to turn it into a reliable Hyper-V host for a small fleet of Windows-based server VMs. I need you to install the Hyper-V role, walk through the initial wizardless settings, and then fine-tune the environment so I can start provisioning production workloads straight away.

Here is what I want to leave the session with:
• Hyper-V role fully installed and patched on Windows Server 2025
• At least one external virtual switch, correctly mapped to the physical NICs and tagged for VLANs where needed
• Optimised storage configuration (fixed vs. dynamic VHDX choice, placement on SSD tier) with checkpoints disabled for production VMs
• Default locations and replica paths adjusted to my folder structure
• A set of best-practice host settings applied (NUMA spanning, automatic start/stop, integration services, secure boot)
• A short hand-over note listing every change you made and the PowerShell you used, so I can reproduce it on a second host later

All guest OSs will be Windows only, so you can skip any Linux-specific tweaks.

I’ll provide full remote access (VPN + RDP) and stay online during the job in case you need credentials or want to confirm a choice. Once everything is running and a test VM boots, the work is complete.
