Datacenter KVM Engineer Training

I’m arranging an internal workshop to help our operations team understand exactly what a KVM Engineer in a datacenter is expected to own, master, and deliver. The participants already manage Linux servers day-to-day, so they sit comfortably at an intermediate level; what they need now is a clear, concept-driven walkthrough that ties the big picture together.

The session should start from the roles and responsibilities of a KVM Engineer and then dive into the underlying technologies—KVM, QEMU, libvirt, virsh, Pacemaker, Corosync, SBD, OCFS2, GFS2, and SAN multipath—always anchoring the discussion in practical realities of networking (bridging, VLANs) and shared storage administration, which is where I want the greatest emphasis.

I’m looking for a trainer who can weave these topics into a concise, engaging presentation, spotlighting best practices for deploying, managing, and troubleshooting virtual machines, performing VMware-to-KVM migrations, and keeping the virtualization stack highly available. The goal is to leave everyone with a solid mental model of how the pieces fit together rather than step-by-step lab tasks.
