Stealth Matrix/Element Server Deployment
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
I want a Matrix/Element homeserver brought online in full stealth mode. The priority is a hidden server setup that leaves no obvious public footprint yet remains fully functional for invited users.
Here is what I expect:
• A fresh deployment of Synapse (or another compatible Matrix server) with Element as the client interface, installed on my VPS/dedicated box.
• All endpoints obscured so the service does not appear in routine scans or metadata look-ups; no obvious DNS records, public ports, or banner leaks.
• Tight hardening of the OS and application stack: minimal open services, updated dependencies, forced TLS, removal of identifying headers, and logging limited to what is strictly necessary for operation.
• Clear, step-by-step hand-off documentation that lets me maintain, back up, and—if ever required—cleanly take the server offline without leaving residual data.
I am open to ideas such as Tor bridges, split-tunnel VPNs, or non-standard ports if they help maintain cover, but the core deliverable is the hidden server configuration itself. When you deliver, I will verify that:
1. The homeserver federates internally and serves Element over HTTPS.
2. Shodan/Censys style scans return no identifiable Matrix fingerprints.
3. I can add users privately and chat end-to-end without leakage.
