Ongoing WordPress & VPS Maintenance
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I run and host a network of a little over twenty WordPress sites on my own VPS. Every week I need the entire stack kept in top shape, with clear before-and-after metrics and a short Monday report so I always know where things stand.
Here’s what the weekly cycle looks like for me:
• Apply all plugin, theme, core and server-level security patches, then scan for malware or anomalies.
• Check load times, caching layers and image/compression settings, making whatever tweaks are needed to keep PageSpeed and GTmetrix scores in the green.
• Refresh or add the content snippets I provide, making sure titles, meta, schema, internal links and other on-page factors are correct.
• Run a technical SEO sweep (sitemaps, robots.txt, crawl errors, broken links, Core Web Vitals) and fix anything you can within WordPress or the server panel.
• Finish with a brief log: what was updated, current speed numbers, any issues spotted, and ideas for the coming week.
I’m offering a flat retainer of about $200 per month for this routine and am happy to keep it rolling long-term if the quality and responsiveness stay consistent.
